One of the main things I have learnt in the journey to healing is that God is concerned about the whole human being. The definition of peace that Jesus continously promises us in the Bible is not our general understanding of peace. “THIS PEACE” refers to wholeness, completeness a putting together of broken pieces, welfare between entities and states. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:26–27).We human beings are multifaceted and multidimensional and our continous insistence on focusing on one aspect of our humanity will only cause us to be constantly feel like as failures as we neglect the other parts that make us whole. Therefore the aim of this blog is to examine the deep healing of the BODY, SOUL and SPIRIT everything that makes us human and ensuring every aspect is optimized so that we can enjoy the “fullness” of life and peace that has been our promise from God since the inception of time.
BODY will examine all the various ways the body needs to heal after traumatic events. This will start by understanding how traumatic events change the physical being and the human physiology and how every external influence ultimately affects the internal workings of the body. We will look at what we eat, what we drink, we will learn to actively listen to the body, focus on its needs and how to ultimately respond to it. This part will look at trying to bring the body back to homeostatis (HOH-mee-oh-STAY-sis): a state of balance among all the body systems needed for the body to survive and function correctly.
